 Electrical Engineer - Ohio - 12 Months Contract with planned extensions 






This is a fantastic opportunity for a Electrical Engineer to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive electrical designs, including lighting design, power distribution, and motive power systems.
  • Prepare detailed single-line diagrams, load studies, equipment specifications, and data sheets.
  • Generate electrical service layouts, schedules, and load calculations to support the project’s requirements.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering teams to ensure electrical designs align with overall project goals.
  • Work closely with construction teams to provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
  • Review vendor drawings and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Provide oversight for electrical systems commissioning and validation to ensure performance meets design criteria.
  • Ensure designs adhere to industry standards such as NEC, IEC, and other applicable electrical codes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies for electrical safety and reliability.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical meetings to address electrical-related issues and solutions.
Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience in electrical design and construction environments.
  • Proven experience with the design and implementation of electrical systems, including: Lighting design and distribution, Power distribution and motive power systems, Electrical layouts, load studies, and equipment specification development.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as NEC, IEC, and NFPA.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, Revit, or similar).
  • Willingness to work 3 days per week on-site or 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule.
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical or industrial environments.
