Project Manager - Life Sciences - 12-months - North Carolina
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in North Carolina, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Responsibilities:
Define and formalize project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Manage procurement and vendor coordination for necessary equipment and materials.
Coordinate with key stakeholders to align project execution with site requirements.
Ensure compliance with industry, safety, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop project plans and secure funding.
Work alongside site personnel and external partners to support project execution.
Develop detailed execution plans, ensuring alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.
Oversee pre-planning and preparatory activities before project implementation.
Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring financial and timeline adherence.
Provide regular updates and reporting on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Facilitate effective communication and coordination between internal teams and external vendors.
Monitor and track project progress, identifying and resolving potential roadblocks.
Support overall capital project management efforts to maintain project momentum and successful execution.
Requirements:
Project management experience in capital projects
Strong understanding of procurement and vendor coordination
Experience managing budgets and schedules for large-scale projects
Knowledge of industry, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
Ability to collaborate with design and engineering teams
Experience in securing project funding and resource planning
Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills
Expertise in developing and executing detailed project plans
Ability to oversee pre-planning and preparatory activities
Risk management and problem-solving skills
Experience monitoring project progress and resolving roadblocks
